Todays’ Christmas gift was to provide both food and a cash donation to support Ely Foodbank and those who call on the support it provides. There are so many charities that would welcome donations especially at this time of year, but as a company we felt that this was the another one that we wanted to support. Everything Ely Foodbank does is for the local community and hopefully Christmas will be a bit easier for some people this year with the support provided by this charity.
Rather than sending Christmas cards again this year, we are donating to a couple of charities. Today’s gift was presented to Johanna Partridge of the NSPCC who received a cheque for £300 (Pictured Johanna Partridge, left, and June Waggitt of Absolute Sense, right)
Peter Waggitt, Director said “We are once again supporting the excellent work that is done by the local NSPCC. They are running their Christmas Afternoon Tea this December and are aiming to raise funds to carry out their support work. With Christmas coming there must surely never be a more appropriate time to support the local NSPCC and at Absolute Sense IFA Ltd we are always keen to be supporting this worthwhile charity”
